WITKACY. PSYCHOHOLISM, MARIA ANNA POTOCKA

Witkacy is a dream come true as a research subject for the anthropologist of art. Though uncompromising and a cultural anarchist, the artist did not succumb to the manipulations of his epoch, and thereby has retained a`cultural freshness`. His creative stance is thoroughly modern. And his humen excesses, which condence many artists in one man, reveal a personality from many interpretative perspectives.
